Dr. Julie Bradshaw MBE is joining families and staff at
Rainbows Hospice who are taking the plunge in a 24 hour Swimathon in memory of
Susan Taylor who tragically died while swimming the English Channel earlier
this year..the swim takes place on the 29th November -

We returned to Dover at the weekend (2/11/13) for the CSA channel dinner...
it was our 1st chance since our swim in July to
go to the swimmers channel home Varne Ridge at Capel-le-Ferne to pay our
respects to our much loved and much missed Friend Susan Taylor

The Varne Ridge Channel Park owners Evelyn & David Frantzeskou have put a plaque up on the channel swimmers Wall to remember Susan .. and also Varne Ridge along with Susan's family and Friends have raised funds for a memorial bench in memory of Susan to be placed alongside that of Paraic
Casey`s on the cliffs of Capel-le-Ferne looking out over the English channel in the New Year, if
you get the chance when you are swimming next yr and for yrs to come..please

honoured to have Mr Simon Griffiths Editor of the great H20pen Water Swimming
Magazine .Simon is an amazing supporter of channel and open water swimming in
the UK and the World.

it really was a fun afternoon for the children yes, but also mom`s and dad`s its not everyday you get to swim with Olympic champions

Ricks did not get award as such this evening , However our reward was to be just to be nominated , and so we able to witness the amazing swimmers here tonight and hear their personal stories of how swimming has help them and others to have a better lives.
once the awards ceremony had finished it was time to let our hair down ( not that we have much to let down these days ) and try and dance the night away and also get a chance to meet some of the top people from tonight awards and from ASA British swimming with the ricks Boys is the charming Katie Brazier the Director of Sponsorship for the ASA
with the Ricks boys is our host and great supporter of Open water swimming in the UK Steve Parry
with The Ricks is our hero from the 80`s when we were trying to be fast pool swimmers 1980 Olympic silver medalist Sharon Davis
its was great to meet up with Ricks good Friend Olympic swimmer and all around supporter of swimming in the UK Sarah Price
