Aspire Night Swim 2015

Fancy something different?
Try The Aspire Night swim.
Are you an open water swimmer looking to try
something a bit different?  Then how about having a go at a night swim.
This was the first ever Aspire Night Swim in Birmingham, it was organised by Aspire, a charity that supports people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury.  There are 3 Aspire night swims that take place in the UK – as well as the one in Birmingham, there are others in Liverpool and Oxford.  There are 2 distances to choose from – the 750m or 1500m.  I entered the 1500 metres event.

The Birmingham night swim took place on 26th September at Swan Pool in Sandwell Valley, a lake The event was due to start at 7.30 (just after the sun had set!) and registration from 5.30 onwards
