Now that's what we call A Real Open Water Swim .!!
its 8am Sunday morning , you’re at a lake , its cold , its lashing down with rain , the water is lovely warm 13. , and you have to swim an hour + in just your trunks.!! heaven  in fact the only thing missing to make it a perfect swim .....would be if My Ricks Channel Team mates had turned up ;-)))..!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmm cheers to Oldbury STC - Triathlon  for turning up in even shocking weather to run the safety.

Now Dan and the Sandwell Lifeguards have relocated
to Cliff lakes OW venue in Kingsbury ,
we have a new team running Open Water swimming at Swan Pool
Oldbury STC are now in charge of all things Open Water
from May to September  .

anyone wanting to swim Must join the Oldbury STC Team.
(£20.0 to join , £40 to swim for  the season (or £3.00 per swim )

a week-long festival of open water swimming in
Colonia St Jordi on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca.

Nick more a runner than a swimmer these days,
smashed the Great Midland Run in 57.12

the man is still supa fast..6 laps in under the hr..

who stormed it at the Great North Swim over the Weekend
Michelle ,Ryan and Charlie
all had great swims in the
500m, 2 miles and 5k events  
great effort guys.

  Charlie did super swim in the Tough Mans event the 5k.,
coming 7th in age and a great 19th over all in 1.09.38...top effort
500m Ryan & Michelle Cox-Coley 26:02 (Michelle 1st ever OW SWIM )
Ryan also came 2nd in age (& 9th overall )in the 2 mile event 45.40
 
Well done to Basher who did
his annually 2 hour channel test swim
in a toasty 13.2 Degree water. 

 Congrats to Liz on her fabulous mile swim
at the Great East Swim at Alton Water,.
liz did the mile in 55 minutes ,
a 3 minute + PB    
 Big Stuart all smiles on Sunday
  before his 1st open water swim of the summer
 
what better way to start Fathers Day ,
then with a 3 mile swim in lake .!

which was the start point for Sunday event..
despite the shocking weather on the day
8500+ plus took part on the Day.

This was Pauls 1st event in his own personal challenge
for Macmillan Cancer Support  
" 7 @ 47 "
To celebrate becoming coming 47 yrs young last weekend,
he thought it would be fun to try and do
7 events in 4 straight weekends
we wish him luck

Great Manchester Cycle 52 miles 28th June ( Old Traford )

Great Manchester Swim 1 mile 4th July ( Salford Quays )

West Midlands & Warwickshire
Open Water Swimming Championships 3 miles 5th July ( Bosworth )

English Channel  Ultra Sea Swim 4hrs/8miles   11th July ( Bournemouth )

Pier to Pier Swim 1.4 miles 12th July (Bournemouth )

Isoman Aqua Bike 3.5 miles OW swim followed by 36 miles Bike 18th July  (Worcester )

Birmingham Triathlon  19th July ( Sutton Coldfield )
